About the Project:

JUHOUD in collaboration with Arab Hotel Association (AHA) and Notre Dame of Jerusalem Hotel and Vocational Center is implementing the “Fly High طموح” project to implement integrated TVET and Employment measures to jobseekers and dropout in East Jerusalem (inside and outside the wall) toward bridging the gap in hospitality and tourism sector and the market needs. The project aims to provide Life Skills & Technical capacity building to beneficiaries in Hospitality and Tourism subjects, in addition to Work-Base-Learning (WBL) program for (2 months), Career Counseling and Coaching, and Career Days for unemployment youth and jobseekers.

Achieved Outcomes:

  • 200 youth (males and females) received Life & Soft Technical trainings in Tourism and hospitality subjects.
  • up to 100 youth (males and females) received paid internship for (2 Months) in Tourism Agencies, Hotels, Restaurants and others) with one-to-one career counselling and support.
  • One Stop Shop established in (the AHA office located in Jerusalem City) to deliver services related to career guidance in addition to job offers or vacancies in the tourism sector.
  • Two Job Fairs were conducted in Ramallah & Bethlehem with participation of more than 300 people from the project’s beneficiaries and employers from tourism and hospitality fields.
  • More than 50 youth received job Oppurtunites for not less than 3 months.
