About the Project:
Juhoud for Community & Rural Development is implementing a project concerning Hospitality and Services Sector, hiring Un-employed young people between (17 – 29 years old) from Jerusalem Area (inside and outside the wall) to participate in the Project. The project comes as part of the Program for Access to the Labor Market (PALM) which is implemented by the GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The primary aim of the project is to introduce up-employed Palestinian youth from Jerusalem governorate (Area C of Jerusalem Governorate) to the world of work and offer capacity building and soft technical preparation in hospitality and services to capable and eligible to access labor Market through the project titled “Skilled Youth More Hope”. The project targets the Tourism, Hospitality and Services sector and aims at introducing 40 young Palestinian to the world of work and providing life skills, technical skills, internship opportunities, career counselling, and a career day to give the participants the chance to find a decent job.
Achieved outcomes:
Throughout the project,
- Up to 40 unemployed youth (60% females) were introduce to the world of work, after improving their Technical and Life competences in the field of Hospitality and Services.
- Engage more than 20 youth who received training with internship program for 2 months (paid),
- 40 youth received one-to-one career counselling to achieve their aspiration to find a decent work.
- Tourism in Corona Time – Delivering Virtual Training of 90 hrs. for up to 20 young female on developing their skills for using the IT online skills for business in tourism filed.
