About the Project:
JUHOUD is targeting job opportunities for youth and women in the Palestinian local market, which despite Covid-19 pandemic effect on the labor market, it still has potential for growth and employment.
JUHOUD targeted (up to 30) university graduates and jobseekers ages between (18-25 years old – 60% females) mainly from Ramallah and Salfit areas to become ready to join the Palestinian labor market specially in (Financial Literacy, Financial Systems and Marketing) where JUHOUD is working with technical partners in a program that secures employment commitments from employers and demand; that understands the market’s actual needs, including skills training, career guidance and linking them with employers that provide sustained jobs.
Achieved Outcome
- 30 unemployed youth (60% females) from Ramallah & Salfit areas have been introduced to the world of work in the Palestinian Labor Market,
- 30 youth and women obtained Life skills and technical trainings in subjects related to (Financial Literacy, Financial System, and marketing skills) based on job types demanded by the employers.
- 30 youth and women obtained English Language training to orient about the American Culture and to enhance their language capacity,
- 20 youth received internship opportunity for (2 months) in collaboration with Middle East Initiative Investment (MEII) in addition to other agencies,
- 30% youth achieved their aspiration by finding a decent work (for not less than 3 months)
