Job Title: Project Coordinator
Duty Station: Ramallah with frequent travel to West Bank targeted areas
Duration of Contract: 11 months (including a 3-month probationary period), with the possibility of extension based on fund availability and satisfactory performance.

Background:
JUHOUD is initiating a new project funded by the U.S. OPA to empower effective Palestinian young leaders. The project aims to promote democratic values, good governance principles, and advocate for the rights and responsibilities of good citizenship by providing leadership and management skills, in addition to engaging participants in cross-cultural dialogue, and advocate for youth participation in public life and within the framework of playing a positive and effective role in the community as decision-makers.
The Field Coordinator will be responsible for:
Functions/Key Results Expected/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of the project on day-to-day basis, ensuring it aligns with project goals and objectives, and coordinate the implementation of the respective activities based on the relevant project document, including, as needed, guidance with stakeholders and service providers to achieve project results,
- Ensure the timely and quality delivery of planned project activities,
- Working closely with the stakeholders, contribute to developing the action plan, M&E plan, and procurement plan,
- Working closely with the staff for each activity, setting clear targets, deadlines, and responsibilities and ensuring team coherence and motivation,
- Monitor the progress of implementation of project activities and training schedules observing the work plans and setting deadlines.
- Manage and monitor project risks identified on the project, submitting updated information on the risks and possible mitigating measures to the project supervisors for consideration and updating the status of these risks by maintaining a project risk log.
- Provide mentoring and counseling for each beneficiary within the project duration and implementation,
- Ensure that gender equality is pursued in all project activities and reflected in work plans,
- Closely monitor the implementation of each project activity, ensuring that all agreed standards/methodologies are respected, and targets are met. When challenges/needs for revisions are individuated, timely inform the project manager.
- Build effective linkages with the potential stakeholders, community figures through periodic visits and communication,
- Prepare required periodic narrative and analytical reports (progress against planned activities, update on risks issues, …) and ensure timely submission of the reports to the relevant instances,
- Contribute to writing success stories, press releases, and other documents, as required,
- Organize workshops and meetings, prepare reports accordingly, and follow up results with all concerned parties,
- Ensure effective internal monitoring of the project and compliance with donor’s requirements.
- Filing and documentation of all project’s related documents.
- Responsible for collecting M&E requirements (database of beneficiaries, attendance registers, surveys, monthly plans, timesheets, meeting minutes, narrative reports, etc.),
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the JUHOUD’s supervisors,
Required qualifications, competencies, and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the coordination of activities especially related to youth, gender, and community engagement sectors (would be preferable).
- Ability to engage community key figures, potential stakeholders to forge productive working relationships,
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build effective working relationships with community stakeholders.
- Proven writing skills to prepare quality and analytical reports in English & Arabic.
- Ability to frequently travel to target locations as needed.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Advanced computer literacy: Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Social Media.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work with varied schedules including extensive afternoons and weekends as needed,
