Project Overview:

JUHOUD for Community & Rural Development is implementing a project titled “Active Youth for Active Citizenry Development (Youth & Women Lead -YWL)” funded by (USAID), under the Active Citizenry Activity (ACA) Project. The project aims to build the capacities of young men and women in Ramallah, Tulkarm and Salfit villages (Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbieh, Kafr Zibad, Kafr Jammal, Kufur Sour, Deir Ballut, Biddya, Kafr Al-Dik, and Qira village) to activate their role and enabling them to engage in local development activities and local initiatives.

Achieved outcomes:

• To strengthen the capabilities 500 of youth and women to lead local initiatives towards better investment in local resources.
• Capacity building training for 200 youth and women.
• One day workshop in Ramallah /or Jericho to empower a focal group of 40 Youth & women (Youth LAG).
• To increase the local communities’ awareness of the importance of the role of youth and women in community life including the preservation of natural resources and the field of domestic tourism by conducting 16 public discussion meeting.
• ⁠⁠To enhance the institutional capabilities of Juhoud to become more qualified to respond to community needs.
